Applied Cybersecurity Bootcamp with AI

Your systems are exposed.
Train your engineers to defend them.

A 13-week defensive security program that trains engineers to defend systems using AI. Built with BINUS Faculty and AWS.

  • 13-week program
  • Starts October 2026
  • Jakarta + online

Why now

AI made attacks easier to run and harder to spot.

01

There are far more attacks.

+89 %

more attacks were run with AI in 2025. AI does the scouting and the scripting, so attackers can run far more at once.

Indonesia recorded 257 million attacks in the first half of 2026, roughly 16 every second. Your company is inside that number.

02

There are far more ways in.

45 %

of AI-written code arrives with a security flaw.

Half of professional developers now use AI every day, which leaves more openings for attackers to find.

03

And nobody notices.

241 days

the average time to identify and contain a breach. Eight months inside your systems before anyone acts.

82% of break-ins last year used no virus at all. Nothing for antivirus to catch. Only a trained defender can call it an attack.

IBM Cost of a Data Breach 2026 · CrowdStrike Global Threat Report 2026

USD 4.12 million

Average cost of a single data breach across ASEAN. Individual cases run far higher.

Most of the attacks were not sophisticated. They were gaps that nobody inside was trained to look for.

  • PDNS 2

    National data centre · Indonesia · 2024

The administrator password was Admin#1234, on an internet-facing portal.

    • 282 public services paralysed
    • Days of total outage
    • USD 8 million ransom demanded

What would have caught it: a basic access control and credential review, the first thing a trained defender audits.

  • Indodax

One engineer opened a fake job document on a personal laptop connected to the corporate network.

    • USD 22 million stolen
    • 80 hours of downtime

What would have caught it: network segmentation and device policy, plus someone reading the outbound traffic that followed.

  • Clipan Finance

    Financial services · Indonesia · 2025

Employee credentials harvested by infostealer malware, then sold on to a ransomware group.

    • Core systems switched off
    • Multi-day disruption to credit payments

What would have caught it: credential exposure monitoring and alert triage before the ransomware landed.

  • National Public Data

Administrator passwords were left in plain text on a related site.

    • 2.9 billion records exposed
    • The company filed for bankruptcy

What would have caught it: a routine review of exposed assets and stored credentials, run by someone who knew to look.

“Cyber threats are escalating as AI advances. Companies need to strengthen their security now. AI will keep getting better at finding weaknesses, and the same AI can help companies fix them first.”

This program builds defenders who use AI, and know when it is wrong.

What makes this different

Practice skills with realistic labs used by modern security teams.

Most cybersecurity training never touches a real environment. This one does.

Defence-first by design

Built around defensive cybersecurity

This program goes deep on the core defensive skills — monitoring, threat detection and incident response — instead of spreading thin across everything.

AWS lab environments

Practice defending live infrastructure

Three lab days built and taught by AWS security specialists. Participants work in a real environment, so they are prepared to defend real systems.

AI built into the work

Learn to supervise AI

AI runs through the curriculum as a working tool. Mapping alerts, drafting reports, running assessments, verifying every output. That verification is what tools cannot replace.

Academics and industry experts

Learn from academia and industry

BINUS faculty and working security experts teach across the program, from core concepts to real-world security operations.

Who is behind it

Expert faculty and cloud infrastructure, in one program.

The lab environment, built by AWS

AWS security specialists design the hands-on labs and teach Security Operations in Practice to the cohort. The labs run in the same cloud environment used by banks and telcos.

Curriculum

Thirteen weeks. Five modules. Each one produces a working artifact.

Two lectures and one applied workshop each week, with three AWS lab days across the program.

~/revou/curriculum

13 weeks · 5 modules
Module 1 Foundations of Security Thinking Weeks 1–2

Build the defender's mindset before the tools. You separate security knowledge from security capability, map a real breach from vulnerability through to business consequence, and study the attack lifecycle as a lens for defence.

WHAT YOU'LL COVER

Capability vs. knowledge Business impact of a breach Risk-based prioritisation The attacker's perspective
You'll build: Security capability map
Module 2 Security Operations: Threat Detection, Triage & Incident Response Weeks 3–5

Work the SOC analyst's core loop — detect, triage and respond to alerts on live infrastructure, mapping findings to MITRE ATT&CK.

WHAT YOU'LL COVER

Threat detection Alert triage Incident response MITRE ATT&CK mapping
You'll build: Escalation brief
Module 3 Network & Infrastructure Security Weeks 6–7

Map and defend network and cloud infrastructure — segmentation, hardening and monitoring across an AWS-hosted environment.

WHAT YOU'LL COVER

Network segmentation Infrastructure hardening Monitoring & logging AWS cloud security
You'll build: Network control selection
Module 4 Application Security & AI Weeks 8–10

Find and fix vulnerabilities in modern, AI-assisted applications, and supervise AI security tooling end to end.

WHAT YOU'LL COVER

Application vulnerabilities Secure development AI-assisted apps Supervising AI tools
You'll build: Remediation brief
Module 5 Professional Readiness & Capstone Weeks 11–13

The final three weeks turn what you learned into something you can use. Two dedicated mentorship sessions help you design and rehearse your capstone; from there you map local cybersecurity career pathways and leave with a realistic 90-day plan, closing with a live portfolio presentation to an industry expert panel.

WHAT YOU'LL COVER

Two mentorship sessions Indonesia market & pathways 90-day action plan Live portfolio presentation
You'll build: A working AI-assisted security tool (vibe coding)

Every module ends in a portfolio-ready artifact the participant owns and keeps.

What it produces

Proof of capability, not a certificate of attendance.

The same output either way. What changes is what it is worth to you.

Five portfolio artifacts

A capability map, an escalation brief, a network control selection, a remediation brief, and a validated AI assessment.

For you

Work you own and keep, five pieces you can walk an interviewer through line by line.

For the sponsor

You see the actual reasoning your engineer applied, not a completion percentage.

A defended capstone

A working AI-assisted security tool, built and documented, including a logged record of the AI mistakes caught along the way.

For you

Questioned live by working industry practitioners, the way a hiring panel would question it.

For the sponsor

A tool that comes back into the business, and evidence the person can defend a technical decision under pressure.

A hands-on AWS record

Three lab days on live AWS infrastructure, including an autonomous AI security agent configured and validated from scratch.

For you

Real environment hours, built and taught by AWS security specialists, not a simulation you clicked through.

For the sponsor

Hands-on time on live cloud infrastructure, before anyone touches production.

A 90-day action plan

Written in Module 5: what to secure first, in what order, and why.

For you

A first-90-days plan you can put on the table in a new role, instead of waiting to be told where to start.

For the sponsor

Week 13 starts with a prioritised list rather than a debrief.

Where it leads

The curriculum maps to entry and transition roles in defensive security.

For you

  • SOC Analyst (Tier 1)
  • Security Operations Engineer
  • Incident Response Analyst
  • Cloud Security Engineer
  • AppSec Engineer

For the sponsor

Detection, triage, response and hardening covered in-house, by people who already know the systems.

A professional certificate, backed by academia and industry

Jointly issued by RevoU, BINUS University and GreatNusa on completion of the capstone and program requirements, at the graduation ceremony on the BINUS campus.

Certificate of Achievement from RevoU, BINUS University and GreatNusa

Everything above is produced by every participant. Only the reason for being here changes.

Who teaches you

Principles from academics. Judgment from industry experts.

Frameworks from BINUS faculty, real-world judgment from working defenders, and lab infrastructure from the AWS specialists who build it.

Questions we get asked.

What if my infrastructure is not on AWS?

It still applies. The labs run on AWS because it is the environment AWS specialists can build and teach properly, but what is being taught is detection, triage, response, segmentation and hardening. Those carry to on-premise, Azure, GCP or hybrid environments. The tooling differs, the judgment does not.

Is a security background required?

No, but a technical one is. Comfort with networks, operating systems and the command line is enough. This is an entry point into defensive security for technical people, not a general awareness course.

Can RevoU invoice a company directly?

Yes. Company invoicing and purchase orders are supported, and installment options are available. Bring your procurement process to the consultation and we will work to it.

What happens if someone falls behind?

Sessions are recorded for review, and the program includes two dedicated mentorship sessions in the final module. Instructors are reachable during live sessions, and the workshop format means gaps surface early rather than at the capstone.

Is this offensive security or ethical hacking?

Defensive. Blue team. The program covers detecting, investigating and responding to threats. Attacker technique is studied only to recognise and stop it.
