Your learning experience

Live online, with hands-on days on the BINUS campus

BINUS Kemanggisan campus building
BINUS Kemanggisan Campus

Live online, three evenings a week

Interactive and instructor-led, never pre-recorded. Every module includes a hands-on simulation where you work a real scenario.

Mon, Tue, Thu · 19:00 to 21:00 WIB

On-campus at BINUS Kemanggisan

Optional in-person days at the Kemanggisan campus, where the hands-on work happens:

  • Three AWS Lab days
  • The opening talk show and simulation
  • In-person graduation with your cohort

Why now

The attack got faster. The bar for defenders went up.

Attackers automated first. The defenders who keep up are the ones who can put AI to work and catch what it gets wrong.

Before

Building an exploit took one to two months

A company ran one to three applications

Knowing the tools made you valuable

Now with AI

It takes days, sometimes hours

It runs ten, shipped fast, most under-protected

Knowing when the tools are wrong makes you valuable

This program builds that judgment. You learn to detect real threats, analyse them, and know when the machine is wrong.

What makes this different

Practice skills with realistic labs used by modern security teams.

Most cybersecurity training never puts you on a real environment. This does.

AWS lab environments

You defend live infrastructure

Three lab days by AWS security specialists: an alert queue with threats, an AWS network to map, and an AI security agent to configure and validate.

Academics and industry experts

Learn from academia and industry

BINUS faculty and working security experts teach across the program, from core concepts to real-world security operations.

AI built into the work

You learn to supervise AI

AI aids in the curriculum as a tool. You map alerts to MITRE ATT&CK, draft reports, run assessments, and verify output.

Defence-first by design

Built around defensive cybersecurity, where the work is

This program goes deep on the core defensive skills — monitoring, threat detection, and incident response — instead of spreading thin across everything.

Who is behind it

Expert faculty and cloud infrastructure, in one program.

The lab environment, built by AWS

AWS security specialists design hands-on labs and teach Security Operations in Practice to the cohort. You work in the same cloud environment used by banks and telcos.

Curriculum

Twelve weeks. Five modules. Every one produces something you can show.

Two lectures and one applied workshop each week, with three AWS lab days spread across the program.

~/revou/curriculum

12 weeks · 5 modules
Module 1 Foundations of Security Thinking Weeks 1–2

Build the defender's mindset before the tools. You separate security knowledge from security capability, map a real breach from vulnerability through to business consequence, and study the attack lifecycle as a lens for defence.

WHAT YOU'LL COVER

Capability vs. knowledge Business impact of a breach Risk-based prioritisation The attacker's perspective
You'll build: Security capability map
Module 2 Security Operations: Threat Detection, Triage & Incident Response Weeks 3–5

Work the SOC analyst's core loop — detect, triage and respond to alerts on live infrastructure, mapping findings to MITRE ATT&CK.

WHAT YOU'LL COVER

Threat detection Alert triage Incident response MITRE ATT&CK mapping
You'll build: Escalation brief
Module 3 Network & Infrastructure Security Weeks 6–7

Map and defend network and cloud infrastructure — segmentation, hardening and monitoring across an AWS-hosted environment.

WHAT YOU'LL COVER

Network segmentation Infrastructure hardening Monitoring & logging AWS cloud security
You'll build: Network control selection
Module 4 Application Security & AI Weeks 8–10

Find and fix vulnerabilities in modern, AI-assisted applications, and supervise AI security tooling end to end.

WHAT YOU'LL COVER

Application vulnerabilities Secure development AI-assisted apps Supervising AI tools
You'll build: Remediation brief
Module 5 Professional Readiness & Capstone Weeks 11–12

The final two weeks turn what you learned into something you can use. Two dedicated mentorship sessions help you design and rehearse your capstone; from there you map local cybersecurity career pathways and leave with a realistic 90-day plan, closing with a live portfolio presentation to an industry expert panel.

WHAT YOU'LL COVER

Two mentorship sessions Indonesia market & pathways 90-day action plan Live portfolio presentation
You'll build: Validated AI assessment

Every module ends in a portfolio-ready artifact you can show an employer.

What you leave with

Work you can show.

Security capability has to be demonstrated. Every module produces something you can point to.

Five portfolio artifacts

A capability map, an escalation brief, a network control selection, a remediation brief, and a validated AI assessment.

A defended capstone

Presented on campus to a panel of BINUS academics and industry experts, and questioned the way they would question a hire.

A hands-on AWS record

Three lab days on live AWS infrastructure, including an autonomous AI security agent you configured and validated yourself.

A professional certificate, backed by academia and industry

Awarded on completion of your capstone and the program requirements, at the graduation ceremony on the BINUS campus.

Certificate of Achievement from RevoU, BINUS University and GreatNusa

Who teaches you

Principles from academics. Judgment from industry experts.

Frameworks from BINUS faculty, real-world judgment from working defenders, and lab infrastructure from the AWS specialists who build it.

Do I need prior cybersecurity knowledge?

No prior security knowledge is required, but you do need a technical starting point — comfort with basic IT concepts, networks and the command line. This is an entry point into defensive security, not a generalist introduction.

Is this an offensive security or ethical hacking course?

This is a defensive cybersecurity (Blue Team) program. You'll learn how to detect, investigate, and respond to cyber threats using the same mindset security teams apply in the real world. Along the way, you'll also study how attackers operate and the techniques they commonly use, so you can better identify, understand, and defend against those threats. The emphasis is on building defensive skills rather than offensive hacking techniques.

How much of this is actually AI?

AI runs through the whole curriculum as a working tool and as something you learn to supervise — mapping alerts, drafting incident reports, running vulnerability assessments, and verifying AI output at every step.

Can I take this while working full time?

Yes. Live sessions run Monday, Tuesday and Thursday evenings (19:00–21:00 WIB), with hybrid Saturdays on campus during lab and milestone weeks — the format is built around working professionals.

Will you find me a job?

We do not guarantee placement. You leave with five portfolio artifacts, a professional certificate, and a realistic 90-day plan — evidence of operational capability you can take to the market.

Cohort one · September 2026

The alert is already in the queue.

Twelve weeks. You will finish able to look at a screen full of noise and say, with reasons, which line is the intrusion.
